First the Facts

Good decision making requires two important steps:
Gather all the information you can, then analyze the risks and benefits as they relate to what’s best for YOU.

Why start here?

Being informed is key to effective and sustainable change. Most people know it’s important to eat well, move often, stress less and love more. Most also know their lifestyle determines the success – or failure – of their health and wellness.

But why? Why are our lifestyle choices the most important thing we can address in order to live long and well?

In my fifteen years of practice and education, I found it is much easier to change when I understood the why behind the what. This section contains five short, easy to read articles on what I believe are critical topics about the current healthcare crisis, the underlying causes of chronic illness, and the impact of lifestyle choices on disease.

Understanding this information will empower you with informed choice and increase your success on your wellness journey.

Dr Robert Beaglehole
Director, Chronic Diseases and Health Promotion

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will instruct his patients in care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

-Thomas Edison, 1903
